Prospectus
Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome to Duxford School. When your child starts school for the first time or joins a new school, there are always lots of questions you and your child will have about that new school. We hope this prospectus will answer many of those questions and give you a feel for what life is like at Duxford.
We are proud to be a friendly, open school and value good communications with families very highly. Weekly newsletters called ‘Airwaves’ keep you in touch with events and you can opt to receive these by email if you choose. We now have our own website, www.duxford.cambs.sch.uk, which is updated regularly and is another useful source of information. In addition, you are very welcome to come in and talk to the teaching staff or to myself about any concerns you may have at any time during your child’s years at Duxford.
We have recently been awarded Quality Assurance from the Effective Early Learning Programme, a national accreditation which reflects the hard work and dedication of our Foundation Stage staff. This year we have achieved national accreditation as a Health Promoting School.
We are really looking forward to welcoming your child to our school and hope that he or she will be very happy here.
