The outdoor Multi-Sports Court is well used. Local sports initiatives, teachers, the school’s coaches and parent volunteers have enabled children to enjoy basketball, football, netball, tennis, cross-country, athletics and gymnastics as clubs and after-school activities. The football team won their league, unbeaten this season and the cross-country team was 1st in the County Small Schools.
Football Team

Our football teams have got off to a great start again this year and are unbeaten so far. Thank you to all those gallant supporters who stood in the pouring rain last Friday evening and again on Wednesday to cheer them on.
Team Sports
This year the Netball, Football, Basketball, Athletics and Swimming teams have all been in action:
The Netball team is improving and have had some success to show for their hard work.
The boys Football team have performed really well and have won every match this year. A new girls’ Football team has also started.
The Basketball team is new and have been doing very well. They have played two matches against Icknield.
Some of the Athletics team runners won medals in a recent cross-country competition.
The Swimming team is practising hard for the Swimming Gala in June/July where they compete against other local schools.
The school has a variety of different sports that will appeal to all different children. The school council is also discussing whether to have a Carpet Bowls club. We are very pleased to have such keen and talented children playing sports throughout the school.
